Removable Partial Dentures

The most common partial dentures are removable appliances that are prescribed to patients who have lost one or more teeth.  They typically rest on a metal framework we create in our lab and are covered by a plastic pink base to look like your gum tissue. A partial denture usually attaches to adjacent natural teeth or crowns using metal or plastic clips.

Today, partial and full dentures are very sophisticated and our ability to design, fit and match this appliance to your mouth makes partial dentures a viable option for many patients who have missing teeth.

Partial dentures can be fixed. A fixed partial, also known as a dental implant bridge, is permanently attached to your jaw with a dental crown or under the gum tissue with dental implants. It is the health of the adjacent teeth surrounding the gap, or missing teeth that will determine which type of partial denture we will prescribe for you.

Dental patients have many cosmetic and reconstructive options, and partial dentures are one of them.
